About
the signal
Longwave is a small transmitter that only works after dark. No playlists you already know, no charts, no morning zoo. Just spoken word, field recordings and rare records, sent out into the quiet.
Radio is invisible. There is nothing to look at, only something to hear. So we made the word the picture: the type breathes like the sound it carries, and it moves as fast as you do.
We broadcast for the third-shift, the jet-lagged, the heartbroken and the wired. If you are reading this at an ordinary hour, save it. You will need it around 3am.
Leave a night address. Once a week, before the transmitter warms up, we send the running order for the small hours. No noise, no selling, unsubscribe whenever the sun comes up for good.
